A Milwaukee, Wisconsin Magician has a Birthday.

Scott Obermann has been around for a few years, but Great Scott didn't have a birthday until he was 12 years old. That's the year Scott became interested in magic and took on the persona of "Great Scott" the magician. "It was the old Bill Bixby series The Magician that piqued my interest", says Scott. After receiving a magic kit for his birthday from a Milwaukee magic shop -- and then learning a few more secrets from some great Milwaukee magicians, he was hooked. Living within driving distance of Milwaukee, allowed him to be involved in a local Wisconsin magician's fraternity.

"Everyone was 'The Great this' or 'That the Great'. I've always loved word play so I became "Great Scott" -- which of course is an exclamation of amazement but also palyed on the common magical names.", said Scott and then added with a wink, "Now I tell everyone that my name is Great Scott...but my friends just call me Great." Through the years, birthday s came and birthday s went, and Scott's devotion to this ages old art took its twists and turns.

After years of working in some great professions as a writer, salesperson, and trainer, Scott found magic to be the one thing that most captured his creative interests. Now a full-time professional magician, Scott loves performing great magic for people of all ages. Obviously children love magic, but adults love to watch a good magician too. "It's just so much fun to entertain people with magic," says Scott. Wait a minute. Did you just read that? He performs at birthday partys and for adults? Is that possible? Actually, yes. Scott loves kids, and as a youth, he started out performing for his peers and youger children. So, he can get silly with the best of them, and kids love his performing style. But he's equally comfortable in front of a group of children at a birthday party, as he is performing on a stage for a business group or corporate banquet. He's honed his skills and wit over the years to be able to provide an adult level, sophisticated, yet family friendly show. You won't be dissappointed.
